More to come

We will add more services to this guide as we check them. Tell us which ones you would like us to cover.

On your TV

Four ways to get it on the big screen

You do not need special equipment. Pick whichever suits the TV you already have.

Smart TV app

Many newer TVs let you install apps directly. Search your TV’s app store for the service you want.

Cast from your phone

If your TV or a small streaming stick supports casting or AirPlay, you can send a video from your phone to the screen.

Streaming stick or box

Devices such as Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV and Android TV boxes add apps to almost any TV with an HDMI port.

Laptop to TV

Connect a laptop to your TV with an HDMI cable and watch websites on the big screen. A simple option that costs very little.

Stay safe

Be careful with “thousands of channels” deals

You may see sellers offering thousands of channels and films for a few pounds a month. Be cautious. Sellers like this often do not have the rights to the channels they sell, so the service can vanish without warning, and you may be handing your card details to an unknown company. The safest choice is to subscribe directly through the channel or service itself.

Check a seller’s name, company details and refund terms before you pay, and avoid paying by bank transfer or gift card.
